Sanjeevani Balmitra Paramarsh Kendra is a police community joint project registered under Sanjeevani, an NGO initiated by Indore Police.
It was established by the Indore Police Department on 9th October 2002 at the SP office Indore, to involve the community and the police in the betterment of deprived childhood of those children who stay at the fringes of crime criminality.
he unfortunate psycho - social existence in an economically deprived and socially decaying atmosphere makes these children vulnerable to the juvenile crime on the one hand and ignoble survival options of beggary and rag picking on the other. Viewing this phenomenon as a challenge to the sanctity of the society, Indore Police has taken up this project with the help of the community.
Balmitra Paramarsh Kendra is an activity room for such deprived children. Here children get an opportunity to get out of their unpleasant environment to participate in a holistic learning experience amidst a warm & friendly atmosphere aided by fun-filled activities & some serious educational inputs.
At present two evening schools are being run under this endeavour at Sanyogitaganj and Chatripura Police Stations. In these evening schools deprived children are given free education, computer training, uniform etc. by the Police staff only. Various cultural activities are also organised in these schools on various occasions.
